"While planet heating emissions continue to rise putting all life on earth in increasing danger, governments, organisations and individuals in the high carbon world are conscionably obliged to collaborate on getting emissions down. For me that means reducing my own footprint while increasing my activism in pushing for the immediate radical change as called for by many including Greta Thunberg, Antonio Gutteras and David Attenborough.
Rejecting flying is about more than saving planet-heating emissions. It’s also about rejecting the wider culture of an unquestioning entitlement to blindly consume whatever might be on offer regardless of ecological damage; something that our current economic system encourages." (Lola Perrin 2019)
