Ten pieces selected as favourites by friends and fans of Lola Perrin from her recent works are brought together in this one CD. All have been composed between 2008 and 2010.
Tracks 01, 05, 06, 07 were composed from writings by Hanif Kureishi.
Tracks 02, 03, 04 were composed from words Lola collected when she interviewed 190 anonymous Londoners about their cultural roots and family histories for a Design Museum commission.
Tracks 08 and 10 are variations from Piano Suite VI: Theory of K.
Track 09 was composed from Phil Maxwell and Hazuan Hashim's East End I film featuring the microcosm of global society that is London's East End.
